Volumes 1 & 2 contain records and daily accounts of a general merchandise store in Washoe, Nevada (1889-1892). Volume 3 contains minutes of a Justice Court in Contra Costa Co., Calif. (1865) and accounts of William Morris, a blacksmith and printer in California [possibly in Contra Costa Co.?] (1856-1857), and later Justice of the Peace of Township #3, Contra Costa Co., Calif. (1865). Volume 4 contains the account book of an El Dorado Co., Calif. blacksmith (1860-1863).
